Physiotherapists also use CT scans when they are conducting medical imaging. These images are 3-dimensional. It can expose a person to a greater amount of radiation. Ultrasound uses sounds imaging to take a picture. However, it does not expose anyone to any radiation. An MRI is another common type of imagery. Larger areas like a spine are going to be needing an MRI to see imagery due to the large surface area. Shoulders, knees, and skulls are also requiring an MRI for imaging. An MRI has another big benefit, which is that it does not expose the person to any radiation. It also ensures accurate soft tissue analysis. Whereas an X-ray cannot see soft tissue radiation.
